Dimensions:
- Total Length Including Mounting Stud And Terminals = 10.1cm (101mm)
- Diameter = 3cm (30mm)
- Symptoms of a failed capacitor are motor humming / buzzing and having to push the drum to start it rotating.
- This is an original 8 microfarad (8uF / 8MFD) metal capacitor with built in safety features.
*Please note: Over time, tumble dryers build up lint / fluff layers on the internal components and cabinet, more so in the base where the lint settles. This can result in a fire hazard should there be an electrical fire which can be caused by a faulty capacitor. Crosslee, the manufacturer of the models listed, only recommend use of their original metal capacitor as above (and NOT plastic), as they are fitted with an additional safety feature designed to avoid this scenario. Although much cheaper plastic alternatives are available on-line, we would strongly recommend avoiding fitting these, for added safety and peace of mind. It is also good practice to clean the interior of the dryer periodically.
