If your Karcher motor is stopping and starting or tries to start when knocked, then you may have worn down carbon brushes. When worn, the brushes are held back from the armature by the copper tails to prevent damage, one brush usually sticks first having a dull/ pitted leading edge, the other may still be shiny. Always replace BOTH brushes.
